Assistant Professor - Italian

The Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics of Syracuse University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Italian. Area of expertise: Medieval-Renaissance Italian Studies.

The successful candidate will teach four courses per year (or two courses per semester) in Italian literature, culture and language, and coordinate in rotation with other members of the department the Italian program.

We are seeking a scholar with Ph.D. in hand and a solid research and teaching agenda in Medieval and/or Renaissance Italian literature and culture and related fields such as Comparative Literature, History, or Cultural Studies. Native or near-native Fluency in Italian and English is required. Experience in teaching methodologies is a plus.
