Assistant Professor of Spanish

The Humanities, Social Science, and Communication (HSC) Department at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) is seeking an Assistant Professor of Spanish starting in fall, 2018. The candidate will also teach in our University Scholars Honors program and serve as coordinator of the Spanish minor. The HSC department is home to the general education courses at MSOE, including foreign language, and houses the University Scholars honors program. The University Scholars inter-disciplinary program provides a select group of students a unique, immersive, and service-oriented educational experience starting in their freshmen year. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Spanish and an interest in project-based, community-focused education. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

An institution that also offers degrees in business, nursing, user experience and communication design, and engineering, MSOE is located on the beautiful east side of downtown Milwaukee, just blocks from Lake Michigan and within easy walking distance of the city's highly acclaimed fine arts and entertainment venues. With approximately 2500 full-time students, our campus maintains an intimate, small-town atmosphere. The HSC department has offices in MSOE's Grohmann Museum, home of the Man at Work collection of industrial art.
