The University of Virginia's interdisciplinary program in Jewish
Studies invites applicants for a one-year, non-tenure-track
appointment as Visiting Faculty in Israel Studies, anticipated to
begin July 25, 2018. Field of specialization within Israel Studies
is open. Rank will be commensurate with rank at home institution.
Duties include two undergraduate courses per semester, one public
lecture, and service to the Jewish Studies Program. Review of
applications begins on November 1 and will continue until the
position is filled. Applicants must have a PhD and either a current
or recent academic position at an institution of higher
learning.
