Baylor University seeks applications for a Speech-language Pathology tenure track faculty position in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders, within the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences.

Position: Assistant or Associate Professor of Speech-language pathology (tenure track) in Communication Sciences & Disorders.

Baylor University and faculty in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders seek a dynamic researcher and educator to fill this Assistant or Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology beginning August 2018.

Qualifications: Qualifications include a commitment to excellence in research and teaching, with ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) and eligibility for Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences & Disorders and an active research agenda with strong potential for external funding.  

Responsibilities: The position entails responsibilities that include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, maintaining an active collaborative research agenda and engaging in departmental, university and professional service. The successful candidate is expected to establish an independent research program with potential for extramural funding and engage in collaborative research endeavors. Applications will be accepted from candidates having interests in a broad range of areas, with preference toward those areas of traumatic brain injury, aphasia, voice disorders, and dysphagia.   The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Baylor University offers bachelors and masters degrees in Speech Pathology and is CAA certified. A Ph.D. program is currently being developed.

Salary and Review Date: Salary is commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.
