THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant professor in DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY with a start date of August 2018. The successful candidate will have their Ph.D. by the start date and have a strong research program and potential to attract extramural funding. Area within Developmental is open, although we are looking for someone to build upon strengths in cognitive development, applied development, developmental methodology, and/or individual differences.  Our department has a vibrant collaborative faculty, outstanding resources, favorable teaching load, and a collegial atmosphere. Our department ranks second in the country for total research and development expenditures in psychology, and faculty work closely with the Florida Center for Reading Research, the Florida Center for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics, the School of Communication Science & Disorders, and the brand new FSU Magnetic Resonance Imaging Facility.
