TWO OPEN FACULTY POSITIONS
University of Colorado Denver
The School of Education & Human Development (SEHD) seeks individuals whose experience, scholarship and teaching will complement our current faculty and strengthen our well-regarded partnerships with diverse communities. We value faculty with a commitment to, and respect for, diversity as a core principle for conducting research and delivering effective services to children, youth and families in urban and diverse settings. As the premier urban research university in Colorado, we are building research and grant capacity in order to better address challenges in P-12 and mental health settings. Duties include undergraduate and graduate-level teaching, research and service; requires an earned Doctorate in a field relevant to the position. Positions begin in August 2018. Assistant Professor - Literacy (Reading/Writing) Education: Faculty filling this position will assume a leadership role in undergraduate and graduate education across multiple aspects of the K-6 Literacy (Reading/Writing) program, including undergraduate and graduate licensing, Master’s and PhD and/or EdD Doctoral levels. At all levels including licensing, MA and Doctoral, faculty develop and maintain close partnerships with schools and other educational agencies situated in social and economic contexts with diverse student and community populations. Assistant/Associate Professor, Clinical Teaching Track – Early Childhood Education: Faculty members in ECE teach in: the Bachelor’s of Education and Human Development (with and without licensure) undergraduate degree programs; the Personal Professionalized Master’s program™ early childhood area of concentration, with and without early childhood special education licensure; and, the Doctoral program. Practicum, field experiences and internships are supported by strong school and community partnerships unmatched in the state.
