The Department of English in the School of Liberal Arts at Marist College invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of English with a specialization in rhetoric and composition, to begin in August 2018.

The candidate will be expected to contribute courses to the English Department’s vibrant and growing professional writing concentration.  Courses may include Intro to Professional Writing, Grammar, Style, and Editing, Composition Theory, and upper-level writing workshops.  The successful candidate will also teach multiple sections of Writing for College and participate in the First Year Seminar program each year.  The teaching load is 3-4, with possibility for 3-3 based upon the level of professional activity.  Candidates for the position should have a Ph.D. in Composition/Rhetoric or related field.
