The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Dartmouth College invites applications for a new full-time Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position in transnational feminism, to begin as early as July 1, 2018. The specific area of specialization within the field of transnational feminism is open, but preference will be given to candidates whose transnational work and perspective concentrate on the Asias in the comparative sense. We furthermore understand "transnational” not only in a geographic way, but also in terms of flows and intersections across established boundaries and bodies of knowledge.

The successful applicant will be a scholar with strong theoretical expertise and interdisciplinary training and will show extraordinary promise in both the areas of scholarly publications and teaching excellence. Qualifications include a Ph.D., although candidates who are ABD and in their final year of a Ph.D. program will also be considered. Applicants should be prepared to teach introductory-level and survey courses in the core Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies curriculum as well as courses in the field of transnational feminism, including courses that help support the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Foreign Study Program in Hyderabad, India. Normal department service is required.

The Program in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Dartmouth College, historically the first of its kind among the formerly all-male institutions in the Ivy League, is highly interdisciplinary and teaches approximately 600 students per year.
