The Faculty of Theology of Saint Paul University (in Canada) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track appointment at the rank of assistant professor or higher in Theology with specialization in Liturgy / Sacramental Theology.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Theology or Liturgy;
  • Proficiency to teach in both official languages (English – French);
  • Recognition of and commitment to the Faculty’s place within the Roman Catholic tradition and theological culture as expressed in Sapientia Christiana
  • Knowledge of the Roman Catholic theological tradition and liturgical practice;
  • Understanding and appreciation of other theological traditions and liturgical practices (e.g., Eastern Christian, Protestant, or Evangelical);
  • A strong research and publication dossier enabling the successful candidate to supervise and direct students at the graduate level within two years of hiring.

Functions:

  • Teaching in all programs of the Faculty, including Undergraduate (Certificate, S.T.B.; B.A.), Professional (M. Div. and D. Min.) and Graduate level academic (M.T.S.; M.A.;S. T. L.; Ph.D.(Th.); S. T. D.);
  • Supervision and oversight of graduate students’ research;
  • Research and regular peer-reviewed publications;
  • Participation in administrative committees of the Faculty of Theology, Saint Paul University, and the University of Ottawa.

Salary: Salary and possibility of promotion according to the collective agreement between Saint Paul University and the Professors’ Association of Saint Paul University.

Starting date: January 1st, 2018
