The Distance
Education Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for the
coordination and implementation of distance education at Dine’
College, including training and support to instructional technology
users and working collaboratively to improve the quality of
distance education instruction. This position works closely with
the instructional Designer and reports directly to the Dean of
Academics.
Education: Master’s degree in educational technology, online teaching and learning, curriculum and instructional design, or related area.
Experience: Two years’ experience working with educational technology design or distance education. Knowledge of and experience with learning management systems (familiarity with Blackboard preferred). Knowledge of Quality Matters. Experience training students and faculty in a group or individual setting. Experience or education in the design, development, and evaluation of instruction and/or training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to think critically and solve problems. Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to research ad learn technology effectively. Skilled in the use of computers and commitment to using technology. Demonstrated technology skills and ability – LMS management, online presentation development, graphical layout, digital/audio/video, HTML coding and editing.
