Tenure Track Faculty Position:
Assistant Professor in Forensic Science
Department
The successful candidate will be expected to teach course work in
both the undergraduate and graduate forensic science programs at
UNH. Some of these courses will be consistent with the faculty
member's area of expertise, and other course will be general
courses such as Survey of Forensic Science. In addition this
candidate must be competent in advising and mentoring students at
various levels including both undergraduate and graduate level
thesis projects. Research and professional development are key
elements of this position as well.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirement is a Ph.D or foreign equivalent in natural
sciences or some closely related forensic science discipline, Such
as Molecular Biology, Population Genetics, Forensic DNA Analysis,
Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, or
Toxicology and Drug Analysis. Twenty-four months practical
experience as a forensic scientist in a public or private forensic
laboratory, or as a forensic examiner .

respected forensic science programs in the United States. Our
graduates can be located in forensic science laboratories
throughout the US and abroad. We have newly renovated lab space as
well as the recent addition of a high tech Henry Lee Institute of
Forensic Science facility. Modern equipment, including various DNA
analysis platforms, SEM, XRD, Raman Spectroscopy, GC/MS, LEEDS
comparison microscopy, etc. are available for teaching and
research.
