Accounting

The Department of Accounting in John H. Sykes College of Business invites applicants for a tenure-track as Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting for the 2018-19 academic year. A Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting from an AACSB accredited or similar school is required (ABD nearing completion will be considered) with a corresponding scholarship record. For the Associate rank, a record of high quality scholarly publications and active research stream is required.

Advertising and Public Relations

The Department of Communication in the College of Arts and Letters invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions in Advertising and Public Relations. Candidates will have a terminal degree and bring both practical experience and critical perspectives to the teaching of advertising in a liberal arts context.

Criminology & Criminal Justice

The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Tampa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2018. The department is particularly interested in candidates who have a focus on terrorism. A PhD in Criminology or Criminal Justice from an accredited institution is required at the time of appointment.

Dance

The Department of Speech, Theatre and Dance in the College of Arts and Letters is seeking a candidate for an Assistant Professor of Dance, a tenure-track appointment to begin in fall 2018. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Dance or Dance Education with a minimum of three years of college-level teaching experience.

Entrepreneurship

The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Sykes College of seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship at the Assistant/Associate level. A Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from an AACSB accredited program, or equivalent, is required with a corresponding scholarship record. ABDs will be considered. This position includes working with students from disciplines across the University through the programs offered through the award-winning John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center.

Graphic Design

The Department of Art and Design in the College of Arts and Letters invites applications for two tenure-track appointments as Assistant or Associate Professors in Art and Design. The positions will contribute primarily to the BFA in Graphic Design. The successful candidates will demonstrate a dynamic studio practice and a record of professional accomplishments and have an MFA or other terminal degree.

Management

The Department of Management in the Sykes College of Business seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in Management at the Assistant/Associate level. A Ph.D. in Management from an AACSB accredited-program, or equivalent, is required with a corresponding scholarship record. ABDs will be considered. Candidates should be qualified to teach courses in strategic management.

Marketing

The Department of Marketing in the John H. Sykes College of Business invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing. A Ph.D. in Marketing from an AACSB accredited-program, or equivalent, is required with a corresponding scholarship record. ABD will be considered. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses including Marketing Research, Strategy, and Management. 

Nursing

The Department of Nursing in the College of Natural and Health Sciences invites qualified applicants for a tenure-track faculty position for a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. We welcome candidates with interest in health policy, health prevention/promotion, epidemiology, or EBP development. Opportunity in teaching across all programs (BSN, MSN and DNP-in development). A MSN and doctoral degree in nursing required; National certification as FNP or AGNP required; Florida APRN licensure required.

Physics

The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics in the College of Natural and Health Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Physics starting in August 2018. Candidates must be dedicated to undergraduate teaching, including both science and non-science majors, and developing a research program that will afford research opportunities to UT undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or other closely related field is required.

Psychology

The Psychology Department in the College of Social Science, Math and Education invites applications for a tenure-track position in Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology with a Clinical Developmental or Child Clinical background.

Speech

The Department of Speech, Theatre and Dance in the College of Arts and Letters is seeking a candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Speech. A Ph.D. in Communication is preferred, or a terminal degree in its related fields with prior teaching experience will be considered. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Speech for Business and the Professions; Interpersonal Communication; and Global Speech, Human Rights, and Social Justice. The position may also include oversight/direction of UT’s Public Speaking Center.
