The Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the College of Business at New Mexico State University (NMSU) is seeking to fill a 9-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the College Assistant Professor level in Information Systems. The position start date will be in August 2018, with an initial course load of 12 credit hours per semester.  A combination of online and face-to-face course delivery will be expected. The successful candidate will have responsibilities in teaching, advising students, and service to the department, college, university, and community. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to an educational environment that supports learning for individuals from diverse backgrounds. 

 

Candidates for this position are required to hold a Bachelors in Information Systems or a related field, and a graduate degree in business or a field related to information systems.  It is preferred that the applicant’s undergraduate and graduate degrees are from an AACSB accredited business school.  However, candidates with degrees from other well recognized and accredited schools (for example, with ABET accreditation) offering degrees in related disciplines may be considered.  Candidates must have at least eight years of professional information systems-related experience.  Candidates must also demonstrate evidence of effective teaching of information systems classes at the college level.
