The Dean of Engineering, Math and Physical Sciences is responsible for the leadership, organization and administration of the Division and provides oversight and support for all academic programs in the Division. There are thirteen (13) career programs and six (6) transfer programs housed within the Division to create a diverse portfolio and range of responsibility for the Dean (list available at http://www.clcillinois.edu/programs-and-classes/academic-divisions/egrdv). Employees within the Division include full time faculty (44), part time faculty (140 – 160), an associate dean, division office staff, temporary employees, and student workers. The Dean is accountable for fostering the following: securing the relationships of the various instructional disciplines within the Division in the context of the established educational philosophy and policies of the College, and ensuring through the divisional offerings the opportunity for students to pursue transfer and career programs in the most efficient and orderly manner. Additionally, the Dean maintains knowledge of the county’s present and potential interest in the Division’s and the College’s instructional services. The office represents to the College the Division’s unique tasks along with its interests and needs, while simultaneously coordinating and merging the Division into the College’s defined strategic plan, values, goals, and objectives. The Dean works closely with other Divisional Deans in the development of procedures and in the administration of the Divisions to ensure consistency in the interpretation and application of policy.
