RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Television, Film, and New Media Program in the School of
Theatre, Television, and Film is seeking a film scholar who
specializes in international and independent cinema to teach in the
critical studies area. Primary duties will include teaching lower
division film studies classes and some upper division and graduate
courses in film and television history, genre studies,
international cinema, and other related courses within the School's
curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. in hand required. The candidate should have a minimum
of two years teaching experience at the university level and be a
published scholar in film and television studies. The candidate
should be well versed in the history, theory, and practice of
international and independent cinema. Knowledge of production
in film and/or television is desirable. The successful candidate
will also be qualified to teach the writing of film and television
criticism and reviews.
