Position Title: Africana Studies Tenured/Tenure-track Position

Position Type:  West African History, pre-colonial to late 19th century

Position Description:

The Department of Africana Studies at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a historian of West Africa at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful candidate will be selected on the basis of superb scholarship and outstanding teaching and will join a department distinguished by a clear commitment to global black studies as an interdisciplinary endeavor.
