The Program Director for Recruiting plays a key leadership role in the Carleton College Career Center. This position is responsible for developing and managing relationships with employers who seek to hire Carleton students for internships and post-graduation employment. The Program Director cultivates connections with alumni, parents, and friends of the College who can help develop hiring relationships. In addition, this position manages all campus recruiting, and works closely with the Recruiting Program Coordinator to ensure high quality services and processes, and to accurately collect and report recruiting and hiring data. Additional responsibilities include creation and maintenance of office instructional materials/handouts and website; provision of direct service/career guidance to students interested in all career areas through workshops and individual appointments; and management of programs related to business careers, including site visits to employers, skill-building workshops, and others.

The mission of the Carleton Career Center is to empower students and recent graduates to integrate and apply their liberal arts education toward succeeding in their career paths and living a meaningful life after Carleton. Through a variety of programs, resources, and tools, the Career Center assists students with ongoing self-assessment and skill and knowledge building, and provides experiential opportunities and access to employers and graduate programs. We engage the Carleton community to position students for success.

This is a full-time year-round position.

The successful candidate must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field plus five years of experience in career development in a higher education setting; or background in HR/recruiting.
