RACE AND ETHNIC STUDIES PROGRAM

Marquette University, a Catholic, Jesuit university in Milwaukee, WI, announces a faculty cluster hire connected to a new, interdisciplinary Race and Ethnic Studies program, hosted in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences.

Faculty will be hired in their own disciplinary departments and will also contribute to the development of Race and Ethnic Studies at Marquette University. These contributions may include regularly offering cross-listed courses in the Race and Ethnic Studies program, creating supporting programming for students, advising students in the program, and producing research and scholarly writing on related topics.

Faculty hired in this initiative will be hired as a cohort that will include activities to forge new faculty members into a cohesive group.

Marquette University seeks seven tenure-track faculty members in these areas:

Africana Philosophy, College of Arts and Sciences
Non-Western Philosophy, College of Arts and Sciences
Sociology, College of Arts and Sciences
Latin American Studies, jointly appointed in History and Foreign Languages, College of Arts and Sciences
Marketing, College of Business Administration
Multicultural Branding, College of Communication
Race and Ethnic Studies, Open Field/College
