The NYU School of Professional Studies seeks a Visiting Clinical
Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship for the Division of
Programs in Business effective September 1, 2017.
Visiting faculty appointments are for nine months and are renewable
for up to two additional years. All faculty members are
active contributors to the research and pedagogical missions of the

this position will develop curriculum, advise students, collaborate
with other faculty and industry partners, and engage with the
broader NYUSPS academic community, as appropriate.
The successful candidate will be a committed educator, with
evidence of meaningful contributions in industry and/or academia.
S/he will possess advanced academic credentials (Ph.D., or other
advanced terminal degree), and a minimum of five years of
substantial direct experience. Expertise and familiarity in
the field of entrepreneurship is required. We seek an individual
with professional experience who can develop academic content and
oversee delivery in alignment with current industry needs and
emerging trends in the field. Concrete start-up or corporate
venture experience is preferred.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Division of Programs in
Business, the visiting clinical assistant professor will draw
support from the field and industry partners to advance the
academic mission of the division. S/he will work closely with the
Associate Dean to implement the vision for entrepreneurship
initiatives and to increase their profiles and visibility locally,
nationally, and internationally.
The NYU Division of Programs in Business provides applied,
professional education for students interested in becoming leaders
in the functional areas of a business: marketing, human resources,
management and technology. Students from around the world are
immersed in highly relevant curricular and co-curricular
experiences that combine academic theory and the rich professional
expertise of industry practitioners from New York City’s business
community. This creates a dynamic teaching and learning
environment in which students gain and apply practical skills to
solve complex, real-world problems of business and society.
The Division of Programs in Business offers both credit and
noncredit programs. In the most recent academic year, there were
more than 1700 graduate students in five Master’s degree
programs and 1000 noncredit enrollments in various career
advancement courses and diploma programs.
