Elon University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in physics at the Assistant Professor level beginning January 1, 2018. A PhD in theoretical physics is required. Candidates must be able to teach fundamental courses that support the undergraduate physics major, including introductory physics and upper level theory classes, as well as introductory and topical courses for non-majors. Strong candidates will show potential for excellence in teaching and interest in curricular development and innovation. Strong candidates will also show interest in teaching in Elon’s interdisciplinary core curriculum, and a passion for mentoring students in experiences such as research, internship, study abroad and community outreach or service.
