The History Department in The Maxwell School of Citizenship and
Public Affairs at Syracuse University invites applications for a
tenure-track assistant professorship in the history of modern
Germany. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong
commitment to research as well as to undergraduate and graduate
education. The Maxwell School especially seeks candidates open to
collaboration and interdisciplinarity in their teaching and
research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two
courses per semester, maintain an active research program and serve
on departmental and other committees. Ph.D. in Modern German
History or cognate field expected at time of appointment. For a
