The Ohio State University at Lima is accepting applications for a full-time position as an Education Program Specialist/Advisor. This position works with current and prospective Education students, area teachers with interest in continuing education courses, and with the Education program coordinator for Ohio State Lima.  The academic advising responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advising current and prospective students on Education degree requirements, advising undergraduate and graduate non-degree/continuing-education students, and other duties related to academic advising.

 

The Education Program Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing support to students applying to the BSEd major or other Education programs, maintaining program files for faculty review, maintaining appropriate data for Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) at the oversight of the Education program coordinator, managing licensure and reporting processes for students, and other related duties.

·         Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
