The Director directly reports to the University’s Senior International Officer, the Associate Vice President (AVP) for International Affairs (OIA) and is a member of OIA’s Senior Leadership Team. Procedures and Processes. Evaluate and improve procedures and processes to ensure EA is using effective practices in order to enhance services across campus for students, parents, faculty and staff.

Policy Management. Evaluate policies and update on a continual basis.  Ensure policies are student-centered and balanced to meet self-support needs.

Contract Management. Develop, review and vet contracts, MOUs, articulation agreements and collaborative proposals between UMD and internal and external entities.

Compliance & Liability.  Ensure compliance with overseas, national, regional, state and local regulations for all programs in order to limit UMD liability.
