The Charles and Louise Travers Department of Political Science in the College of Letters and Science at the University of California, Berkeley (http://polisci.berkeley.edu">http://polisci.berkeley.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position with an expected start date of July 1, 2018. We are open to outstanding candidates in any field, but we are particularly interested in candidates whose work is in the areas of: political theory, racial and ethnic politics, international relations, and law and politics. A Ph.D or equivalent degree is required within one year of start date.

[Basic qualifications]: The completion of all degree requirements for Ph.D or equivalent degree except the dissertation at the time of the application.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, one to three samples of significant written scholarship, and a statement addressing past and/or potential contributions to diversity through research, teaching, and/or service (optional).
