Assistant/Associate Professor Position

The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor for the following positions to begin in the Fall of 2018.

Assistant/Associate Professor in Information Technology Management

Qualified candidates for both positions will possess a Ph.D. in Business or a closely related field, majoring in Information Technology Management (ITM)/Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related area and must have a strong interest in teaching courses in Information Technology Management, including Enterprise Resource Planning/SAP. Required qualifications also include proven research skills and a record commensurate with academic rank and teaching excellence.

Candidates interested in the Assistant Professor tenure-track appointment will possess a recent Ph.D. or anticipate completion by August 2018. Qualifications also required for the Assistant Professor include the potential for high-impact research and the capacity for teaching excellence. Preference will be given to candidates who possess excellent communication skills as evidenced in teaching evaluations, along with an ability to work collegially and collaboratively within the university and the business community.

Associate Professor Candidates will need to meet the tenure criteria for the rank of Associate Professor with qualifications that include a record of exceptional quality research published in top peer-reviewed journals and demonstrated record of teaching excellence. Preference will be given to Associate Professor Candidates with excellent communication skills as documented in teaching evaluations, along with experience in guiding doctoral students and interfacing effectively with the business community.

Assistant Professor in Marketing

Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Business or a closely related field, majoring in Marketing or allied area. Required qualifications also include proven research skills and a strong interest in teaching courses in Marketing Strategy, International Marketing, Buyer Behavior, Marketing Research, and related topics. Candidates with anticipated Ph.D. completion by August 2018 will also be considered. Preferred qualifications include the potential for high-impact research in Marketing, the capacity for teaching excellence, excellent communication skills, along with an ability to work collegially and collaboratively within the university and the business community. Highly preferred qualifications also include a research record of exceptional quality published in top peer-reviewed journals.

The primary responsibilities for the above positions will be to provide high quality research for publication in top-tier business journals and excellent teaching in the Lubar School of Business. Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to the mission of the Lubar School by engaging with, mentoring, and advising students, by providing service to the area, School, and University through committee service and other shared governance activities, and by enhancing the School’s strong linkages with the business community.
