Assistant Professor

Tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Special Education beginning August 2018. PhD or EdD in special education, teacher education or a closely related field. Minimum of three years of successful teaching and supervisory experiences in P-12 settings. Teaching and supervising experience at the college/university level. Excellent communication, human relations, and organizational skills. Teach and supervise undergraduate programs in special education, as well as in the Master of Education (MEd) and Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) programs at the graduate level. May include outreach to the community college and local school systems in the area; work within Professional Development Schools supervising interns; recruitment of students and student advising; and/or teaching both undergraduate and graduate classes.
