The Department of Marketing in the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University seeks a tenure-track assistant professor of Marketing for employment starting Fall 2018.

 

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach marketing in both undergraduate and graduate programs, including MBA and doctoral programs; must maintain an active program of research and publication; and will participate in appropriate service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. Emphasis will be placed on producing scholarly research in top-tier peer-reviewed marketing and business journals.

 

Qualifications: Qualified candidates are required to have earned a doctorate in marketing or related field from an AACSB-accredited university by the effective date of employment. Candidates must be strongly committed to quality scholarly research, with preference given to those who have a demonstrated record of acceptances or publications in peer-reviewed journals. Applicants must have teaching experience of at least two semesters as instructor-of-record at an AACSB-accredited university. All areas of teaching and research will be considered, but preference will be given to individuals with experience and interest in consumer behavior, services marketing, digital/social media marketing, marketing data analytics, or international marketing.

Transcripts for faculty positions must be an official copy scanned into an electronic format and attached to the application. Degrees from outside the United States must be validated by an organization belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Service (NACES), with an indication of the documents the evaluation was prepared from (official transcripts, diplomas, dissertation abstracts). The evaluation should be scanned and electronically attached to the application. An unofficial transcript may be used during the hiring process to assure that the prospective faculty member may be credentialed for the courses they are expected to teach. An official transcript sent directly from the institution is required for the Provost’s credential file prior to the first day of employment. Similarly, for degrees from outside the United States, the evaluation by an organization belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES), with an indication of the documents the evaluation was prepared from (official transcripts, diplomas, dissertation abstracts) is required for the Provost’s credential file prior to the first day of class.
