Summary/Qualifications:
Reporting directly to the Vice President for Administration and
Finance with dotted line reporting to the President, the Director
of Budgets and Risk Management is a senior member of the Finance
Department responsible for facilitating and managing the budget
process, developing the annual operating budget and five year
budget model, directing the enterprise risk management process,
procuring insurance for the College and supervising the department
of Environmental Health and Safety.
The Director of Budgets and Risk Management provides overall
leadership, direction, technical advice and assistance to the
College's budgetary formulation, analysis, review and control
processes. The Director also maintains a continuous line of
communication with each Vice President regarding the identification
of risk exposures and the appropriate mitigating measures for
addressing them with the goal of ensuring an organization wide
understanding of risk and risk management strategies. The Director
is responsible for handling all insurance related matters for the
college including the annual renewal process and claims
processing.
Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance and a CPA and
/or MBA degree. Also required is a minimum five years of
progressively responsible experience in budget preparation and/or
fiscal management and insurance and risk management. Experience in
higher education preferred. Candidates should have strong Excel and
presentation skills, the ability to communicate effectively in
person and in writing and the ability to work with a diverse group
of students, faculty, staff and the general public.
