The Department of Sociology at New York University invites
applications for an open-rank faculty position (rank to be
determined by the qualifications of the successful
candidate(s)).
Areas of specialization are open. Responsibilities include
research, undergraduate and graduate teaching. Position is to begin
September 1, 2018, pending budgetary and administrative
approval.
Candidates should have an active program of research in progress
that may encompass a variety of methodological approaches, and for
more senior candidates, a substantial
record of publications in major journals and/or books from
established publishers. A strong commitment to teaching
undergraduate and PhD students is essential.
