The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Bethune-Cookman University, a private HBCU located in Daytona Beach Florida, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems
Position: Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems. Full-time, nine-month and tenure track.
Job Description:
Successful candidates
must be able to teach courses in Computer Network Administration,
Cyber Security and related certifications. Being able to teach
courses in Web Design and Web Development as well as Database
Administration is a considerable plus. Responsibilities include
curriculum development; student advising and mentoring;
participation in professional, university, and community service
initiatives as well as commitment to scholarly activities including
research. Candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the College
of Science, Engineering and Mathematics and be involved in proposal
and grant writing activities.
Salary:
Compensation is competitive, based on qualifications and experience.
General Qualifications (Required):
- Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems or Computer Information
Technology.
Terminal degree must be from a regionally accredited institution. - Evidence of active involvement in research and publications.
- Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations and ability to contribute to the university’s commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages.
