Loyola University New Orleans seeks an Executive Director to organize and establish a Center for Extended and Online Education (CEOE). The Executive Director will be responsible for centralizing existing adult, online and continuing education programs and for growing new credit and non-credit programs that serve the needs of employers and working adults. The incumbent will provide leadership for all aspects of the CEOE; will oversee planning, direction, organization and implementation of the educational programs of online, adult, and continuing education; initiate partnerships with business and industry for development of programs and courses; supervise administrative and support staff, manage the CEOE budget. This is a new position and reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, entrepreneurial administrator with experience initiating successful continuing and online educational programs to meet workforce educational and training needs. He or she should have a demonstrated track record of building continuing education units, growing enrollments, diversifying program offerings and generating revenues; working collaboratively with university administrators, business and industry partners, faculty, and alumni; overseeing the development and deployment of effective strategies to market online, adult, and continuing education.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree required. Doctorate degree preferred. Minimum four years demonstrated experience in leading an online and continuing education organization. Demonstrated expertise with technology related to online instruction and continuing education organization. Demonstrated experience marketing and recruiting for online and continuing education programs. Ability to lead program and course development. A background check will be required of the successful applicant.
