Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of English faculty position in the Department of English, College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Position Responsibilities: Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of English with a specialty in Restoration and Eighteenth-Century British Literature and Culture. The position begins August 2018. Candidates will be on a 3-3 semester load. We especially welcome candidates with additional expertise in one or more of the following areas: print culture; digital humanities; ecocriticism; or science studies. A commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and service, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. It would also be beneficial if an applicant has familiarity and experience working with diverse students. Faculty in the department teach in a variety of modalities, including face-toface, hybrid, and online.
Required Education, qualifications, and experience: An earned Ph.D. in English or a related field, or the foreign equivalent, is required, and a record of research or indication of publication potential is essential. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered.
