Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington is seeking applicants for our Violence Prevention and Response Coordinator.

The Wellness Center is excited to be growing! Our team promotes the well-being of students, staff and faculty to support a healthy campus. We are looking for a new member of our team to lead violence prevention and response efforts and collaborate across campus and with community agencies. This position is located at Central Washington University in beautiful Ellensburg, Washington. A small, college-town feel with abundant outdoor recreation opportunities and proximity to Seattle’s metropolitan attractions, Ellensburg is a great town to settle down in.

The Violence Prevention & Response Coordinator (VPRC) is our primary referral and support source for students who have experienced sexual misconduct. The VPRC processes and coordinates referrals related to sexual misconduct, dating and domestic violence, stalking, or other power-based interpersonal violence. The VPRC serves multiple functions within our campus community, focusing on the prevention, education, and reporting of issues related to violence. The VPRC supervises student staff and assists our Director of Wellness & Health Promotion in Title IX consultation and grant writing and coordination.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Public/Community Health or related field.
  • Professional experience in the field of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking; victim services; and/or training and technical assistance services.
  • ­Experience developing, facilitating, and coordinating professional development, training, and prevention programs on sexual assault, dating violence, and/or stalking among adult learners.
  • ­Excellent project management skills required. Ability and willingness to manage flexible workload, multiple tasks, and to work some evening and weekend hours.
  • ­In­-depth knowledge of issues and dynamics related to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
