Fordham University has an excellent reputation as a dynamic institution in the cultural heart of New York City.  Founded in 1841, Fordham enrolls more than 15,100 undergraduate and graduate students in its 10 Colleges and Schools.  The Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for reviewing and approving external funding applications for all grants, contracts and sub-contracts. We seek a Grants and Contract Administrator who will handle all New York City and New York State contracts, including: maintaining the NYC HHS Accelerator and NYS Grants Gateway document vaults; obtaining required VENDEX, insurance, workers' comp and liability, MWBE documentation; working with Legal Counsel to review contract documents and get notarizations; handling all communications with all relevant departments within both City and State offices (currently includes NYC Departments of Health & Mental Hygiene, Education, and Finance and NYS Departments of Education, and Finance, and VendRep group), often in coordination with the Office of Government Relations.

 

We seek a forward thinker who will serve as primary contact in the Office of Sponsored Programs for the Graduate School of Education as well as various opportunity programs such as HEOP and STEP/C-STEP that are supported by city and state contracts and will submit grant proposals and bids for contracts and work with the Controller's Office to request set up of award budgets in Banner as well as budget transfers, no cost extensions and other post-award activities. The selected candidate will maintain SAM.gov renewals, input and maintain records of grant proposals and awards; provide reports regarding grant activity and metrics and analyze historical performance and strengths of Fordham's grants to identify and capitalize on potential new collaborations between our faculty and external partners (other universities or research centers), especially global partners. Additionally, you will take the lead on the transition to a new grant tracking system and the transfer of all necessary historical data to allow for a smooth transition, plus you will also be responsible for Office of Sponsored Programs petty cash fund and advise on budget. Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

 

Minimum bachelor's degree, masters preferred and minimum 3-5 years’ experience required.
