 SHORT DESCRIPTION SUMMARIZING POSITION FUNCTIONS

The School of Labor and Employment Relations has two vacant faculty positions in Human Resource Management (HR). One of these two positions requires a candidate with interest in teaching the masters-level course of compensation and benefits. We are generally interested in candidates who have teaching and research interests in micro and/or meso topics in organizational behavior/human resource management/industrial-organizational psychology. These are full-time tenure-track positions that combine research with teaching in the School’s master’s and PhD programs in human resources and employment relations. The School is an academic unit that concentrates on research and teaching in the HR-ER fields. For more information, please see our website at http://www.ler.illinois.edu/.  

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct original, high quality scholarly research for publication in leading academic journals • Teach in the School’s master’s and PhD programs • Participate on School-wide service committees  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must have a Ph.D. in an appropriate social science discipline or professional area of study (e.g., JD); however, ABDs who demonstrate strong potential for conducting exemplary research and teaching and anticipate Ph.D. completion no later than August 2018 will be considered.  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced Degree (PhD) SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with experience and rank

APPOINTMENT STATUS: Regular, 100% time, tenure-track faculty appointment (assistant, associate, or full professor)
