The School of Health Care Professions is housed within the College of Professional Studies. The School includes the following disciplines: Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Health Sciences (focusing on preparation for post-graduate health care programs and health care administration), Health Informatics and Management Technology, Nursing, and a graduate program in Athletic Training.

The Program Director (PD) is responsible for the overall planning, direction and management of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program while having teaching responsibility within the Unit.
This person will be a visionary and experienced leader serving as the first Program Director of UWSP's DPT program. Working with the Provost, Dean of the College of Professional Studies, Chair of the School of Health Care Professions, other Unit Program Directors and Interdisciplinary faculty & staff, the PD will lead the development & implementation of the Doctor of PhysicalTherapy program, oversee the CAPTE accreditation process, coordinate daily operations, and develop & maintain ongoing collaboration with the community and faculty cultivating excellence in research, teaching, and service. In doing so, the Program Director will ensure this new program will prosper as an integral part of the School of Health Care Professions while achieving the mission, vision & values of UWSP and the College of Professional Studies.
