Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management 
This position reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs. 

Appointment Period: 

This is a twelve-month annually renewable full-time position. 


Under general supervision of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management integrates all aspects of Rhodes State College's enrollment process including the planning, implementation, and evaluation of effective student-centered, strategic recruitment and retention initiatives. The Assistant Vice President is an innovative individual who should bring vision and promote a student centered/first model; have an understanding about issues and national trends that affect two year institutions; and support a shared governance/decision making environments.  The Assistant Vice President  serves as a member of the Student Affairs leadership team and shares the responsibility for promoting a student-centered campus environment that supports development of all students.   


Specific Duties:

  1. Develop a Comprehensive Student Recruitment Campaign including analysis and evaluation of strategic and targeted recruitment needs with college and campus recruiters and long and short term planning and review of recruitment strategies and program including resource management; 
  2. Ensures recruitment objectives, goals, budgets, policies, practices, and actions produce successful student recruitment results, consistent with RSC's overall mission, and strategic and master plans. In coordination with Institutional Research, develop and implement assessment strategies to rate, analyze and improve the performance of enrollment management related to services, initiatives and strategies;
  3. Develops communication strategies for a variety of market segments that address prospective students, program and enrollment inquiries, application processes, and pre-enrollment phases of the college admissions process which includes faculty, staff, and students; 
  4. Develop and implement the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan  which should include recruitment and retention goals for the college, the key stakeholders, enrollment data and trends, effective enrollment strategies and programs; 
  5. Design and implement efficient and effective enrollment processes (recruitment, admission, assessment, advising, registration, financial aid/payment, and orientation) by delivering services in a manner that reinforces efforts to recruit and retain students;
  6. Manages inquiry and applicant database and explores application of information technology as applied to recruitment and retention programs;
  7. Assists in the planning, implementing, and assessing the Student Affairs Strategic Plan;
  8. Supervises and represents the Division in the absence of the Vice President for Student Affairs at internal and external meetings and events;
  9. Assists with developing and implementing services, activities, and opportunities that complete the student experience and enhance the college experience with the specific purpose of increasing student retention, persistence, and graduation rates;
  10. Assists in developing pertinent policies and procedures for the Division of Student Affairs;
  11. Assists in defining and reporting relevant data for federal, state, and institutional reports including IPEDS, HEI, and Fast Facts;
  12. May oversee additional functional areas within Student Affairs as reorganization occurs;
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Major Work Qualifications:

Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or comparable work experience; five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in undergraduate admissions and/or enrollment management with a proven track record of success is required.  The successful candidate will possess evidence of management and supervisory experience and the ability to analyze multi-layered problems and propose solutions.  Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills.  Ideal candidates will have experience with student information systems/databases, preferably with Ellucian Banner Software.   This position requires excellent interpersonal, organizations, communication and leadership skills.  Some evening and weekend work is required.
