The University of Cincinnati seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor to fill an interdisciplinary position within the Departments of Psychology, Mechanical and Materials Engineering, and Electrical Engineering and Computing Systems. The candidate will contribute to and complement our unique strengths in human-robot interaction and movement coordination and will be expected to teach courses such as Research Methods in Human Factors, Embodied Cognition, Human-Robot interaction, Intelligent Systems, Complex Systems and Networks, and Computer Programming at the undergraduate and graduate levels; conduct research on humanrobotic coordination; and make service contributions to the mission of the Psychology department.
Minimum requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field; a record of at least 2 publications demonstrating application of coupled-oscillator models to human-robot interaction and movement synchronization; and applied research experience using motion-capture technology and eye-tracking technology, and MatLab and SPSS software packages as demonstrated by use of these in either degree project final manuscripts (such as master's theses or doctoral dissertation) or publications.
