The University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine,
Department of Clinical Studies-Philadelphia, Section of Radiology,
invites applications for a Lecturer position in Small Animal
Diagnostic Imaging. Eighty per cent (80%) of the radiologist’s time
will be devoted to clinical service in small animal diagnostic
imaging, with the remaining time dedicated to scholarly activity
and administrative duties. In addition to working in a dynamic
hospital setting with excellent support staff, the advantages of
the position include an exciting intellectual environment with
outstanding residents and faculty boarded in surgery, dentistry,
critical care, anesthesiology, radiology, oncology, and internal
medicine. There is unsurpassed opportunity for participation in
clinical or laboratory research and teaching.
Candidates must have a veterinary degree, have completed an
approved radiology residency training program and must have
achieved certification in the American College of Veterinary
Radiology or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
Board eligible candidates may be considered, but certification and
experience in managing heavy clinical caseload is preferred.
Successful applicants will be expected to manage the clinical
caseload of the Small Animal Hospital over the various modalities
of radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography and MRI.
Supervision of current radiology residents, both on clinics and
on-call (night and weekend) will also be expected.
