Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing faculty position in the WellStar School of Nursing

 

Position Responsibilities:

The WellStar School of Nursing is seeking a clinical track faculty member with expertise in adult health nursing. Primary teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level. Both classroom and clinical teaching are required. There is also an expectation of service to the department/college/university and/or professional community.

 

Required Education, qualifications, and experience:

Candidates must possess a masters degree in nursing, or its foreign equivalent. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered. Ideal candidates will have a strong depth of knowledge in adult health nursing and previous experience in nursing education.

 

The WellStar School of Nursing produces the most new BSN graduate nurses in Georgia with both traditional and accelerated tracks, in addition to masters and doctoral graduates. WSON graduates have some of the highest pass rates on national certification examinations in the state. The school employs approximately 45 full time faculty and numerous part time faculty. The WSON is housed within the WellStar College of Health and Human Services, which includes departments of Social Work and Human Services, Health Promotion and Physical Education, and Exercise Science and Sport Management.
