The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is presently conducting a search for a full-time Assistant/Associate Dean for Student Affairs.  The primary mission of the Office of Student Affairs is to recruit, retain and support diverse classes of highly qualified dental students.  The successful candidate will join the College’s administrative leadership team and be an active participant in planning, policy making, and administrative management of the College.  Major responsibilities include:  coordination of the admissions and financial aid processes; managing student counseling and retention issues; registration; and liaison with University officials, national dental education organizations, and the state-wide dental professional community.  The position is available August 1, 2017; screening begins immediately.  Applicants must have:  DDS/DMD/MD, or PhD, or relevant Master’s degree; minimum of five years’ experience with student affairs; experience with one or more of the major responsibilities of the position; relevant administrative experience; and demonstrated commitment to a culture of diversity and respect among students, faculty, and staff.  Experience in dental education, counseling, or student advising is desirable.  Academic rank, track, title, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Learn more and/or apply at Jobs@UIowa at http://jobs.uiowa.edu/content/faculty/, reference Req #71230 and submit the following:  letter of interest, CV, and three letters of recommendation.
