Tenure-track,
10-month Assistant/Associate Professor or Clinical
Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Department of
Health Science beginning August 2018. Research Doctoral degree in
public health, health education, health promotion or related
field. ABD applications considered, but appointment will be at
the Instructor rank and all degree requirements must be completed
by February 1, 2019. Preference will be given to applicants
with the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential
who have strengths in epidemiology, research methods and
evaluation. Must have evidence of competencies defined by the
field and mastery in responsibilities related to health
education/health promotion; a record of high-quality
teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels that include
knowledge of and ability to sue a variety of
innovative teaching techniques and new technologies in the
instructional process; and demonstrated ability to
develop interdisciplinary research/programs that will support
health education/health promotion in diverse
communities. Teach undergraduate and graduate coursework
related to epidemiology, research methods, and qualitative
and quantitative methods, advise undergraduate and graduate
students; maintain an active and focused research/scholarship
agenda; and participate in university, community and professional
service. Tenure-track faculty are assigned an instructional
workload of six (6) course units per academic year for the first
year. Beginning the second year the workload assigned is a
standard instructional workload of seven (7) course units per
academic year. Clinical faculty hired at any rank will be
assigned eight (8) course units per academic year. Review

Professor
Tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor
position in the Department of Political Science beginning
August 2018. PhD in hand at time of application will receive
preference, although ABD applicants considered,
but appointment will be at the Instructor rank and all degree
requirements must be completed by the spring of 2018. Possess
a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and show a solid
potential for a productive scholarly program. Interest in
pursuing external funding is desirable. Faculty assigned an
instructional workload of six (6) course units per academic
year for the first year. Beginning the second year the
workload reverts back to the standard instructional workload
of seven to eight (7-8) course units per academic year. Teach
general survey courses in metropolitan studies and urban government
and politics. Develop and teach courses in urban policy and/or
local government. Particular area(s) of specialization may include
poverty, racial segregation, transportation, housing,
infrastructure, homelessness, crime, education,
collaborative governance, and/or economic development. Review

Psychology

position in the Department of Psychology beginning
August 2018. Doctorate in Experimental Psychology or related
field such as Cognitive Psychology. ABD applicants considered,
but appointment will be at the Instructor rank and all degree
requirements must be completed by February 1, 2019. Assistant
Professor assigned an instructional workload of six (6) course
units per academic year for the first year. Beginning the
second year the workload reverts back to the standard
instructional workload of seven to eight (7-8) course units
per academic year. Teach undergraduate courses in
statistics and research methods as well as courses in one’s
area of expertise and statistics in the MA program
in Experimental Psychology. Review of applications begins
October 1, 2017 and continues until the position is

Assistant Professor, Human Resource Development/I-O
Psychology
Two tenure-track, 10-month Assistant
Professor positions in HRD/I-O Psychology in the Department
of Psychology beginning August 2018. Doctorate in Human
Resource Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology,
Organization Behavior, Organization Development, or a related
discipline. ABD applicants considered, but appointment will be
at the Instructor rank and all degree requirements must be
completed by February 1, 2019. Practical experience in a
relevant field preferred. The ability to demonstrate
research competency as well as evidence that candidate will
continue to grow her or his research agenda, leading
to publication in peer-reviewed journals. Faculty assigned an
instructional workload of six (6) course units per academic
year for the first year. Beginning the second year the workload
reverts back to the standard instructional workload of seven
to eight (7-8) course units per academic year. Teach a combination
of graduate courses in the Human Resource Development MS
program and undergraduate psychology courses. Teach HRD
graduate courses such as Introduction to Human Resources, Training
& Development, Applied Research in Human Resource
Development, and/or Managing Workplace Diversity. Teach
undergraduate courses such as Behavioral Statistics, Research
Methods and/or Industrial Psychology. Review of
