Coordinator of Aquatics, Campus Recreation  Requisition # 17000000W5 

 

This position will oversee the programming and day to day operation of the UTC Aquatic area. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a comprehensive Aquatic program, that includes scheduling and staffing of courses in swimming, lifeguarding, WSI, and others.
  • Hiring, training, scheduling and supervising aquatic staff for day to day operations including open swim, special programming, swim lessons, intramural events and pool parties.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and operation of the aquatic center pool and spa.
  • Serving as an integral part of the Campus Recreation staff by assisting with Campus Recreation programs to connect the department to the UTC campus and Chattanooga community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree required, Master's preferred. Must have one-year experience in the field of Aquatics.  Required certifications include Lifeguarding, LGI, WSI and CPR Instructor. Must hold a CPO (certified pool operator) that is current a certification or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire. Must be flexible and available to work nights and weekends, as needed.  Must have valid driver’s license.
