The Healthy Campus Liaison will be responsible for coordinating the development of the vision and mission for UNC Asheville's Healthy Campus 2020 Initiative. In conjunction with the American College Health Association (ACHA) which provides leadership and advocacy to the field of college and university health, the Healthy Campus 2020 is a national program that reflects the thoughts and perspectives of 600+ diverse higher education professionals representing multiple professional organizations and disciplines. Healthy Campus 2020 is a framework to support campuses in improving the health of their students, staff, and faculty. Duties of this position will include:
  • Analyzing campus-wide existing health/wellness data.
  • Establishing needs and resources from a multidimensional framework of health and well-being for students, faculty and staff.
  • Steering the implementation and tracking of initiatives and objectives using Healthy Campus 2020 assessment tools and baseline data.
  • Making recommendations to senior level advisors for strategic implementation of best-practice and evidence-based programs to further develop and promote a culture of health and wellness at UNC Asheville.
Applicants being sought will have:
  • A Master's degree in health promotion, health education, public health or a closely related field. A Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Health Education or a closely related field with equivalent experience may also be considered.
  • Two or more years of work experience in health promotion setting.
  • Evidence of collaborative work experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Marketing and program promotion experience.
