Executive Director of Institutional Research

Franklin Pierce is seeking an experienced individual to join as our Executive Director of Institutional Research. In this important position, the Executive Director provides vision and leadership in regard to the University’s institutional research strategies.  This position is also responsible for providing a central repository for all accreditation reports, data and documentation. Reporting to the Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Executive Director will play a major role in presenting, interpreting and disseminating information to appropriate internal and external constituencies and bears primary responsibility for compliance with state, federal, accrediting body and other critical accountability mandates.

The successful candidate must possess at least five years of professional experience as a data administrator with at least two years within a higher education institution. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, but a Master’s is preferred. This position requires an individual with good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external constituencies. The individual must have a good knowledge base on current qualitative and quantitative data collection, retrieval and analysis techniques within an educational setting. A strong mastery of Microsoft suite and database systems including Word, Excel and Access, statistical packages (SAS or SPSS) is essential.
