Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Mathematics faculty position in the Department of Mathematics.

 

Position Responsibilities: The position is primarily a teaching position that entails teaching mathematics courses ranging from general education (precalculus and calculus) courses through more advanced mathematics courses (depending on qualifications). The standard teaching load for a Lecturer is 15 credit hours per semester.

 

Required Education, qualifications, and experience: An earned Ph.D. or Master’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Mathematics from an accredited university is required. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered. In order to be considered for the position, the applicant must have completed at least eighteen hours of course work in mathematics at the graduate level.

 

As one of the larger departments at KSU, the Department of Mathematics serves over 400 Mathematics and Mathematics Education majors. The department currently offers B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Mathematics Education. The department also offers, in conjunction with the College of Education, a M.A.T. degree in Secondary Mathematics and a M. Ed /Ed.S. degree in Middle Grades/Secondary Education with a concentration in mathematics.
