Ozbun Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship

The College of Business at North Dakota State University (NDSU) invites applications for the Ozbun Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship.  The successful candidate will begin employment in August 2018. 

Description

The purpose of the Ozbun Endowed Chair is to nurture faculty excellence in entrepreneurship education and encourage students to pursue big ideas and innovative thinking and activity.  Qualified applicants must possess a strong record of quality research and teaching.  Candidates should also show evidence of leadership potential and effective oral and written communication skills.  Strong applicants will have experience in entrepreneurship-related programs, a record of community engagement and collaboration, and a vision for future program development.  We will consider qualified applicants from different academic backgrounds (e.g., strategy, organizational behavior, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, innovation, new product development, or related fields).  We welcome applicants who are at the rank of associate or full professor as well as assistant professors with established academic records.  The position offers a competitive salary, benefit package, reduced teaching load (6 credits per year), and a significant spendable amount from the endowment for program-related activities, travels, and/or support staff.

 The College of Business at NDSU

The College of Business at NDSU is fully accredited by AACSB, and has recently moved to the Richard H. Barry Hall, the new 135,000-square foot state-of-the-art facility.  NDSU recently received a $6.25 million gift to aid in the development of an entrepreneurship program at NDSU, and the Ozbun Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship position at the College of Business will be a cornerstone of this initiative.  The administrative leadership of NDSU has given a high priority to the development of entrepreneurship-related programming and initiatives.  The College has a group of faculty who have research/teaching interests in entrepreneurship/innovation and are energetically contributing to the design and development of the entrepreneurship program.  NDSU is distinctive as a student-focused, land grant, research university, and is in the Carnegie classification category of "Doctoral Universities: Higher Research Activity."
