Assistant/Associate Professor
Curriculum and Instruction

The College of Education invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Curriculum and Instruction that will begin August 2017. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in Secondary Education and a focus in one of the following areas: English, mathematics, social studies, TESOL, or educational technology.

This is a benefits-eligible, full-time, tenure-track, nine-month position with an anticipated start for the 2017-2018 academic year (August 2017). Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:

• A completed doctorate in education or appropriate field by August 15, 2017 is required.
• A minimum of 3 years teaching in a PK-12 setting.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse populations.
•Documented evidence of sustained, high-quality professional productivity including grant writing.
• Documented evidence of teaching excellence and contribution to student development.
•Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into teaching including experience teaching online courses.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Successfully designing and leading professional development with elementary/secondary teachers.
• Experience of collaborative curricular development.
• Documented experience of successful teaching in higher education.
