The University of Nevada, Reno seeks a collaborative and user-centered Business and Economics Librarian. Reporting to the Director of Liaisons and Research Services, the incumbent serves as a liaison to the College of Business and provides research assistance in the areas of business, economics, marketing, management, finance, and entrepreneurship. The position is part of the Libraries' Liaison program that emphasizes faculty and student outreach, information literacy instruction, in-depth research support, and an innovative approach to meeting user needs. This is a tenure-track faculty position that requires professional and scholarly activity and service on library and university committees.

The Libraries emphasize excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a strong service orientation; a willingness to experiment and innovate; and the desire to actively engage in campus and community outreach activities to promote the libraries and build partnerships.

The incumbent is expected to:
- Provide in-depth research consultations on specialized business resources, including investment and financial data, company and industry information, market research, economic indicators, government statistics, and intellectual property research.
- Design and conduct curriculum-integrated instructional sessions and effective online instructional materials; contribute to information literacy program planning.
- Collaborate with faculty to meet teaching and research objectives and build sustainable partnerships.
- Provide expertise and support services related to data management and statistical analysis software programs available in the Libraries' DataWorks Labs.
- Support interdisciplinary initiatives across academic units requiring expertise in business research.
- Collaborate with a team of social sciences librarians.
- Participate in and extend the Libraries' outreach and assessment initiatives.
- Work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Compensation and benefits: Salary range: $60,100-$76,200,DOE.TIAA/CREFand other retirement options; 24 annual vacation days; generous sick leave policy; tuition benefits for self and family; no state income tax orFICA.

Required Qualifications:
ALA-accreditedMLSor equivalent and two years of experience in a library reference or instruction setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in or familiarity with sources, issues, and trends in business and economics research
Experience collaborating with faculty as a liaison librarian
Experience planning and delivering innovative services and information literacy instruction
Familiarity with tools that support online learning
Familiarity with data resources and statistical analysis software
