The Department of English at Howard University seeks to hire full-time Lecturers (non-tenure track, one year appointments) for the 2017-18 academic year. Teaching assignments will be courses in the First-Year Writing Program and/or in Technical Writing Pre-Professional. Candidates must hold an MA or PhD in English or Composition and Rhetoric and/or an MFA in Creative Writing and must have college-level teaching experience in composition and advanced writing courses. Candidates with TESOL certification and experience with digital literacies are strongly encouraged to apply. The teaching load is 4/4. The position will begin August 15, 2017. Consideration of candidates will begin immediately.
